Figuring it All Out

In this Module we will explore further how to integrate these new technologies into your growing clinical reasoning capacity.

A JENT bodyworker consults in a practical way to gather evidence which is critically considered, challenged and then integrated into a hypothesis to evaluate as many facts as they can gather to form a view that can lead to an appropriate intervention.

The main components of a clinical reasoning process are subjective and objective.

  1. Weigh up the evidence as provided by the owner.
  2. Then use all the signs and symptoms as provided by the horse to:
  • Develop a thorough clinical history
  • Generate a hypothesis
  • Use specific questioning
  • Use a physical examination to confirm or refute the hypotheses
  • Implement a targeted and rationalised intervention
